My name is Ewan Paterson and I am the owner and founder of Paterson's Paws. I launched my business in December 2022 in order to put years of planning and dreaming into fruition.

As a life-long dog lover and dog professional for a number of years, gaining my experience as a police dog handler, I created Paterson's Paws to provide a flexible, trustworthy and personalised service. Having worked shifts for most of my working life, it frustrated me that dog walking services mostly focused on people working the 9 to 5. It also frustrated me at how over priced dog training sessions were and for these reasons I set about changing things to make training and welfare for dogs more accessible.

Since launching, I have already helped a number of dogs and their owners overcome behavioural challenges from reactivity, anxiety, dogs that pull strongly, dogs that need some manners around the house and puppies getting that initial training that is the foundation to being well balanced and behaved dogs.

I firmly believe that dog training is a team journey between owners and their dogs and having had previous experience in training people, you can be assured that my sessions are not only developed to benefit your dogs, but are structured so that you too get the best learning experience from them. I hold a Certificate of Higher Education in Training, Learning and Assessment so you can be assured that I am working for you and your dog.
